Our Sheriff, the Sheriff of Isabella County is an elected officer responsible for the planning, administration and direction of the Sheriff’s office.

of the county jail, including the constitutional and statutory provisions relating to the care and custody of inmates.
The Sheriff is also responsible for the short and long-range planning of the department, including developing and implementing new and revised policies and directing and participating in all administrative functions of the department.
He is responsible for all departmental programs and coordinates department activities with area and state law enforcement agencies as well as arranging and overseeing special service contracts within the county as appropriate.
And he has been deemed a "Horse's Ass" by his peers and from my own experience with Sheriff Leo I would definately have to agree with their "ASS"essment!
This is quite a distinction!

What is there like 82 elected Sheriffs in Michigan and you beat them all out for the “Horse’s Ass Award”?
